About Us

About Ohio Nuclear Alliance

The Ohio Nuclear Alliance (ONA) is a statewide, industry-backed organization bringing together the many sectors connected to nuclear science, technology, and industry across Ohio. ONA exists as a coordinating hub for companies, institutions, communities, and individuals connected to nuclear energy and advanced manufacturing. The organization provides a structured space for collaboration, shared understanding, and statewide alignment across a rapidly evolving field. As a member-driven organization, ONA reflects the collective leadership of its participants and serves as a neutral platform where industry, education, workforce, and community perspectives come together in one coordinated effort.

Our Mission

"To unite Ohio’s nuclear ecosystem, strengthen coordination across sectors, and serve as a trusted statewide platform for collaboration, information-sharing, and engagement."

Ohio Nuclear Alliance

Origination

The Ohio Nuclear Alliance emerged organically from a small working group of industry, academic, and policy leaders who recognized both the opportunity and the risk in this moment. As national momentum around nuclear accelerates and other states organize aggressively, it became clear that Ohio needed a durable, credible structure to coordinate industry leadership, share information, and engage communities and decision-makers in a consistent, proactive way. What began as informal collaboration has quickly grown into a statewide effort that reflects both Ohio’s nuclear legacy and its future.

A Member-Driven Organization

ONA offers membership to both organizations and individuals, recognizing that informed participation and broad engagement are essential to shaping Ohio’s nuclear future. Members help guide priorities, working group focus areas, and statewide coordination efforts.
